As mentioned I need new rubber. I am looking around and all I find in 230/80R22.5 are Michelin XRV. The best price I can get it $3400 installed balanced and all taxes.
Is there anything else out there?

Naaaahhh... look at Toyo's or Sumitomo's 245x75R22.5. I put a set of SUmo's on for $1,885 out the door.

gonzo, I'm not sure if this will apply to you but have you considered coming down to the States to get your new tires? I believe that USD - CAN$ are almost on par but I believe the same tire is less money in the US.

My cousin from Ontario saved a bunch of money he said when he bought new tires for his car while here on vacation.

I thought about it but the next US town is Great Falls MT, and that is around 9 or 10 hours drive. I would not save anything!

In my comments I did say that my cousin was on vacation. I expect that he would have saved nothing had he simply come to Myrtle Beach for a set of tires! I agree 100%!

Perhaps there's a small vacation is store for you at some point ..... ya never know!

That is the plan but I need new tires first!

Mike Canter posted the attached info not long ago. Don't know if it works in Canada or not but might be worth a looksee.

I used Bridgestones on my 2000 Adventurer. Around $1800 mounted and balanced.

Gonzo, are you asking for the 245/70 R 22.5 size when you call? I believe Michelin is the only company that makes the 230/80 size.

I just looked at a bunch of new Tiffins and I think they have truck tires on them. Tread looks weird. I believe they were 285/80/22.5 XRE4'S maybe?

Yes is have. In 245/70r22.5 I can get Goodyear G66. I looked at them and no thanks that look like a logging truck tire. Only $20 cheaper. Now can I sub the Michelin with 245/70 or 245/75? Somebody told me I have to look for 245/75.

Is there any truth to what a Michelin disributer told me?

"There are no 2011 manufacture dated tires. They have yet to run a production for 2011. The best born on Michelin XRV 19.5's is 2010."

I need 22.5. apparently there are plenty in the XRV's in the Michelin Warhouse here in Alberta. But no other tire manufacturer seems to have anything comparable anywhere in Canada. What a Joke
