Well, I got it back from Workhorse today and they couldn't find any reason that the tranny was skipping. They pulled the pan and let it drip all day, plugged in new filters, internal and external, filled it up and so far so good. My cruise control was blamed on a faulty brake switch under the dash. They fixed that for $105.00. Ouch. Oh well, it now works and we will be putting some more miles on her this week so time will tell.

Just put 340 miles on her and the tranny is perfect! I am a happy camper! Nice to have my cruise back as well, although I didn't get to use it much in the hills.

Good news Joe!

Hopefully I won't have a similar problem. I'm only at 25K but I'm also at 3 1/2 years so I'm planning on having mine changed prior to my trip to MB in mid April.

Are you going with Transynd or staying with Dex III? The shop told me they have no idea why my tranny skipped. There weren't any codes so I guess it that that old magic again. Mine is so nice now it was almost worth the hassle. Good luck.

Keeping the Dexron III. That will get me to 75k or 2 more years which is around the time frame we may trade.

Place I'm looking to take it is a Truck Repair Center that is an Allison Dealer. I've already confirmed they have Dexron III and told them my MH is not compatable with the VI. Will make them aware of that again when I go in.

Smart man, Bob! I basically did the same, but wasn't too sure. They were quite confident that Dex VI was OK., even after I questioned and suggested that they check. Live and learn.
