It takes several tries to shift into park. No trouble geting out of park. Is this the same problem as tranny won't shift out of park. I had this for 2 years now just haven't repaired yet.

our w20 did the same. i always thought it was an adjustment. helps to step on brake pedal harder. push up hard then push toward dash. hope this helps.

I believe this can all be easily fixed with a minor adjustment at the WSC shop. There's no need to be yanking and tugging on the column shifter.

The Allison shop I went to found a bad NSBU (neutral safety backup switch) and replaced it at no cost to me.

This switch is not related to hard shifting however you may want to ask them for an opinion regarding your situation.
