<span class="ev_code_RED">Allison - Transynd ID Tag</span>

If you take the opportunity to go to large RV Shows you may see an Allison display.

A couple of years ago I went to the Allison display at the Tampa SuperShow and the rep there had a number of these neat little tags which come with a red tie wrap. I grabbed a hand full at the time as I recall.

I've given a number of these away to people that I have met since then however I kept the last one I had for me.

This is a neat idea and if you ever have the opportunity to see an Allison rep he may have some of these kicking around.

At the Workhorse Chassis Motorhome Club Rally in Myrtle Beach this October, The Allison reps will be there to present a seminar. Before they come I'm going to ask them to see if they have any more of these tags so during the seminar you can each get one.

I think it's the best place to put a Transynd tag so that a mechanic doesn't inadvertently add Dexron. If they do, now you have something to show his boss and something to justify your demand to have your "now" contaminated fluid replaced.

The white hi-density foam block behind the dip sticks is my idea. I wanted to see if I could reduce the vibration there between the 2 dip sticks. Works great!

Great idea DriVer! I'm going to contact the Allison rep for the WCMC West rally in March 2009, for their seminar and these great TranSynd tags.

Hi DriVer,
I saw your post and I thought it was a great idea to add to my MH.
So I made a tag on the computer for the transmission and one for the oil stating exactly what I use in each then took it to the local Office Max and had it copied on card stock and laminated.
I punched a hole in them and attached the appropriate one to the dip stick with a small wire tie.
For my MH I use TranSynd in the Transmission and Mobil 1 5w-30 engine oil.
Real easy do do and cost me a total of $1.36 for 4 cards. Now I have some spares if needed.

Everyone, there is a member of this forum who has extras. Approximately 3 months ago he posted that he would give them to anyone interested. You pay postage.

I stopped at my local Allison service facility today, showed them the picture Driver provided. They were out of the tags but will order more. If I can get a few I will make them available to IRV2 members for a SASE. Explained how we Seniors need all the help we can get. I once topped off my transmission with radiator coolent. Now you know why I'm running Transynd. We all got a big laugh out of that.

I did the exact same thing about 2 months ago, except I only made 1 tag and I added the statement "Dexron VI is NOT approved for use in this transmission."

Send a message via AIM to oemtech
I don't need "No stinking tags".... as I am the only one that adds fluids to my coach.
