I ordered a TranSynd sticker in use for my rig from Allison, I expected to get one, they sent me a roll. If you want a couple of these, drop me an email with your address and I will send them out. ddold@cox.net

Thanks you for your generous offer. I'm sure quite a few folks will take you up on your offer.

If you folks are neeeding a sticker I would suggest sending surfride an SASE.

I on the other hand have a small plastic tab that fastens with a red tie wrap to my dip stick that says Transynd equipped.

Dave that is a very generous offer but I do like DriVers idea even better! A tag attached to the dip stick would get anyone's attention and possible prevent someone from adding incorrect fluid. I'm going to go attach a tag to our's today! Thanks DV for another great tip!

Surfride,

I sure could use a couple of those TranSynd stickers, as I changed to all TranSynd fluid last year and didn't recieve any stickers. My e-mail address is ejhessemer@hotmail.com. I'll give you my address through my e-mail. Thank you.

I just took delivery of a new Challenger MH with an Allison Transmission. Do new units start out with TranSyn in them? I saw an Allison note that the warranty would be extended to 200k if transyn is used. Is there an easy way to verify Transyn?
Thanks for any advice.

Here's my vin 5B4MP67G883433116 counting LR or RL I don't hit the 6. I'll wait for the first trans maintenance and change out the fluids then.
If Transynd is what Allison wants why do they start out with a Transynd/Dextron III mix? My 2005 allison operators manual that came with my 2008 MH says that if I replace the fluid with Transynd at 5k then I can use schedule 2 (transynd schedule)

BRUCE: Your 2008 W-22 chassis came from Workhorse filled with TranSynd. Disregard the info in your outdated Allison OM.

Do your self a favor and never add Dexron III (which isn't even being marketed nowadays) because that is "old school", and will only shorten your service interval. ED

Do not add Dexron or any other equivalent ATF.

Change your transmission spin on filter at 5,000 miles and clean the ring style magnet and replace it on the top of the new filter.

DriVer, Thank You. I went thru the papers I got with my motorhome and logged into myworkhorse.com but didn't find any reference to what is in the tranny initially. I'm a retired technician and I have to understand all these details or I just won't sleep good. So far I am pleased with the operation of the Workhorse drivetrain. Being new to RVing I'm glad to find so many helpful people as I work my way up the RV learning curve.
