Hey Guys, maybe someone on here has had this problem.....
I have a 32' 2002 Itasca Sunrise with an 8.1 gas engine.
Twice today I went to start my RV, it turns over and it starts but imediately dies almost like it is out of gas. It does the same thing on the second and third attempt.
Eventually after several attempts it will start and keep running. Each time after starting I drove it 5 - 10 miles without any problems.
Could this be a fuel issue like the filter and if it is the filter where is it located, or is it some other isssue common to the Workhorse chasis?
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance......

Brazel, what size or amperage is the 'ignition 1' fuse? Is it one of those big fuses in the engine compartment? Thanks

I'll vote for a fuel filter.

Upon checking the fuses yesterday morning I did not find a burned out fuse. I found that if I put the shifter in neutral it starts just fine.
I would think if it was a bad switch in the shifter it would not start at all in park instead of starting and stalling imediately.
Two times later yesterday and three times today I was able to start the RV in park like normal without any problems.
Seems like the problem has now gone away by itself. I hate it when that happens because you know when it happens again you will be stranded.
If anybody has any more ideas I sure would appreciate them.
In the mean time I am going to find out where the fuel filter is located and replace it, it can't hurt right?

Every vehicle with fuel injection should have its fuel filter changed at least once a year. Didn't you have a P32 chassis with modified ignition switch you installed yourself?
