I'm in the process of purchasing a new Georgie Boy Cruise Master 2009 Model, Been informed by the dealer that these units should not have the know issues, Was just wondering if anyone else has heard they corrected the problems.

If Workhorse has a fix for the water pump failure, they haven't notified any of the UFO owners about it.

I for one am very envious that you may be buying a UFO! I've driven a dozen UFOs and I know and appreciate how well this vehicle rides and handles. It's exceptional and unique!

Wish we could be in the same position.

I can tell you that you will be very happy with your purchase. I had a severe failure, it was rough going for a while, but it was resolved. It was frustrating to say the least, but so far so good. I love the UFO, and the way it rides and handles. I was at the FMCA Rally in Indio last week, and had Koni shocks put on, wow!!!! what a difference, I strongly recommend them, thank you Duner.

Good luck with whatever your choice is.

I did not know that Koni developed shocks for the UFO. Do you have the part numbers that were used for future reference.

DriVer, Happy New Year to you, hope your holiday's were enjoyable. Keith from Redlands Truck Service installed them at Indio, front pt#88051021 rear pt#88051002. As I mentioned, it did improve the handling of my coach dramatically. Keith seemed to know which ones were for the UFO application, I didn't even give it a second thought.

Best Regards
Craig

You will be happy with a severe failure and new shocks? There must be something wrong with me, I just don't get it.

Wow, you're right, no one should buy a UFO, that's the only platform that has had a severe failure.

I'm still happy though

I am curious about the shock replacement. What did they improve about the ride? My only ride complaint in the Coach can tend to "porpoise" at times. Other than that I have no ride complaints.

Wayne, that was really the only ride complaint that I had as well. We would "porpoise" more than I thought we should going over dips at freeway speeds. I was really surprised how the Koni's eliminated that feeling. The coach felt softer over rough spots, but not too soft in any way.

Thanx for the response. I am interested in what you had to pay for the shocks. If you don't want the world to know, would you PM me? I have no clue what a fair price is. The local shops all charge full retail plus $125 or more per hour for labor.

Call Keith at Redlands Truck and RV Performance. It is my understanding that he does not bite.

Most of the testimonials about RTS and Keith are exceptional! It's probably worth the drive for you to go and find him.

The Cruise Master seems to be a mighty fine coach. I watched a video posted on a Texas dealers website. Lots of good features. The UFO is a great chassis. The DW and I love ours.
