Workhorse has issued a "Customer Satisfaction Service Bulletin" regarding the FCA problem. The Service Bulletin says all UFO owners will be notified by mail.

The Bulletin gives the part number of the "new" redesigned FCA. I am trying to find out if that is what was installed on my Coach last year. I assume Workhorse will have that info if I call?

They will know by your VIN# so have that handy.

The FCA letters should be coming out "Next Week" so perhaps you can afford to give it a few more days before you get on the phone. You should see something in the mail I expect between the 15th to the 22nd. But if you have a need to know, give them a call.

I have put 9000 miles on since the last FCA was installed. We are leaving in 2 weeks for a 3 month / 4000+ miles trip. I would like to be assured that I have the correct FCA on before leaving on this trip.

Hi Wayne,

Was this service bulletin mailed to you or is it off the WH web site?

Jon, The link works just fine. I have also seen the TSB on WOW. The owners should be receiving that letter next week.

I just received my letter from Workhorse and it states that the new FCA is already installed on my UFO. Guess I will cancel my appointment.

That's good to know they have a handle on who needs the new FCA!

This is a Memo that I received from Workhorse today that I wanted to share with you.

"I wanted to let you know that the UFO Electronic Fan Clutch and Water Pump AFC was launched and mailed on 5-7-2010. We have mailed letters to both our customers who have already received the new redesigned fan clutch advising there is no action required as well as a letter to the customers that have units that are affected by this AFC. If any customer has a question as to whether they are involved or not; they can contact their local Workhorse Service Dealer and ask if their unit by VIN shows that 60901-CS is open under their VIN profile. If the unit has already been completed during a prior service repair their VIN profile will not indicate 60901-CS in the profile."

If you have a UFO and you would like me to check for you, please send me your VIN# in a "PM" and I'll take a peek to see if you are on the list "OR" as detailed above contact your ASC and they will check for you.

It seems that any chassis that has not had and FCA replacement is part of this fix. I personally don't think mine is a bad one or not as bad as it could be. I hardly ever hear it kick in and when it does it is very noticable. It does not run all the time, that is for sure. But if WH says to replace it I certainly will. So I will send you my VIN just in case, although the bulletin is posted on "My Workhorse".
