Please take the time and go to www.driveaufo.com and go into chat and look at the feedback from a dealer in Canada

Go to Workhorse UFO chassis and see the post.

I will ned a lot more info than Hype from a dealer before I make the plunge.I heard nothing but positives about W22 before I bought my `02.
After mine was ordered I started hearing about brakes, shocks, can`t drive in the rain.
Two weeks after picking up my coach we left for NC to a race.Scary ride, driving was a real handful.
Put a lot of money into suspension and handles great now but wish I had held off for a few years to get real owner feedback.
It seemed in the beginning nobody wanted to admit there were problems.
In the end I now have a great handling MH with good power and fairly easy to service myself so although frustrating in the beginning am a happy camper now.
Sorry about the rant

I have to agree with Spoonman I have a 02 year chassis and after driving 3 Ford v-10's the Workhorse was a completly different ride. Thats before the porpoise hit the front end. I corrected that and added a Henderson bar on the rear end.
Meanwhile WH was improving the chassis, with all the negative comments coming from this forum on the chassis, for their 03-04 chassis which added what some of us did add to improve our chassis.
The UFO should have some greater improvments because I think WH didn't want to go thru the same thing as the earlier years. MFG's are holding off jumping into the market for UFO which is OK with me to see how the UFO works out.
Once more are on the road and the mileage adds up more will jump in with their lines.
Maybe irv2 will add a chassis forum for those owners with the UFO chassis to follow their progress.

Maybe Driver can get direct feedback from an end user. What do you say Driver? Do you know anyone that has purchased a UFO?

This March at the FMCA Convention there will be an opportunity to interview a number of test drivers as they return from their test drives. If the results are consistent with the results that were obtained earlier in Tampa this will certainly be a deja vu all over again!

Oh come on guys! One of us has got to be first to buy a UFO. Now who wants the 'honors' ?
I agree, reviews by dealers, magazines etc are pretty much useless. They are not going to say any thing bad about a product they make, plan to make or hope to make money from. How dumb would that be?

I say that well over 500 independent RV drivers have driven and reviewed the UFO in a positive manner. You can't make this stuff up or pay that many people to lie.

The UFO "is" the success story that the majority of test drivers say it is.

Driver, I agree with the 500 drives, but it appears the manufacturers have not "jumped" at the chassis. I don't see any new manufacturers listed, and some recent comments don't sound too encouraging. Is it possible the price point is holding this unit back? The low end diesel units are filling in at a lower price.

Fred

When comparing the same floorplan and model, the UFO is less money. The performance has to be experienced by the purchaser - you would have to drive both and decide.

Here is how I see the "UFU": first of all, I think it is going to be a winner. So far I like the floor plan of the Monaco La Palma/Holiday rambler 38PLT. The "UFO" has a 100 gal fuel tank and many Freightliner XC chassis come with a 90 gal. fuel tank. Most guys know that you can't get 90 gallons of diesel fuel in a 90 gallon tank. 80-85 is more like it. Therefore, a "UFO" gasser driven at 60-62 MPH will probably have a longer cruising range than a XC chassis with the 7.2 CAT and 90 gal. fuel capacity. The Freightliner "FRED" only has a 80 gal. fuel tank. Look at the total picture and the "UFO" looks pretty good! bagman.
