I just purchased a new coach on the W24 chassis. I see mention of the Ultrapower upgrade. What is it?
Thanks
Tom

There's an on-going thread discussion in this forum. You will get the info you are looking for in that thread - Ultra Power Evaluation. I too am reviewing the on going thread for my own info.

Relax, drive safely, and enjoy God's creations.

Agiledog: WELCOME to iRV2.com You have come to the right place for all sorts of RV info. Congrats on your new coach.

May I suggest you put several thousand miles on your new baby before deciding what, if any, improvements are warranted. You will soon learn that the "find" button right above the screen names will do a search for any "keyword" you choose, and return probably more results than you care to read thru.

Please post often, and keep us informed as you enjoy your new coach. What is it? You can add that to your signature in your profile, then it will appear at the bottom of all your posts.

Again, WELCOME! ED

Thanks for the encouragement. Being a mechanic for many years, I have a tendency to try to make things work better even before I have tried it.

The WH service advisor said they highly recommend using Chevron Delo 400 5W-30 and burning Chevron gas. I have heard about using only Chevron before so I will try it. If the milage and power improves, then I will get a longer range but may pay a little extra. That's okay with me.

What's with the tiny LCD display on the dash? I can hardly read it and one could crash trying to push the buttons changing the display while under way. Has there been any talk about putting this information on the backup camera screen? There goes my mechanic bent again.

BTW - We have a new '07 Itasca Suncruiser 38T on the W24 chassis. With all our gear on board, we are still 1200 lbs. under gross weight, wahoo!

agiledog welcome! I am sure that you will get many miles of enjoyment out of your coach. I would break it in and track all the info on mileage, power on grade, with or without toad, trans shift points, etc before the UltraPower upgrade, just so you can have a base line to evaluate from. I am doing the upgrade when I get a chance. I went with Royal Purple syn oil in the engine and diff. Increased my fuel mileage .9 mpg

agiledog... the tiny LCD on your coach (being a 2007) should be the bigger and better one I would expect.

The one on the chassis' made before 2007 are the real tiny ones. Maybe for some reason, you didn't get the latest. Did you check to see when your chassis was actually built?

Small display.
I think my chassis is a 2006 and the MH is an '07. At least that is what the VIN number indicates. So my display must be the small one. Bummer!

You can scroll into the settings for the display to brighten it. Mine was originally very dim too.
