It kinda of depends.. But, in any case the UltraPower upgrade would be done for free. Again, Brazel's would check for any GM Updates, add them first and then add UltraPower.

Be aware, that unless you complain about something or there is a recall you will probably NEVER get an update. If you are out of warranty they will charge you about $100 for the updates! You get them free with UltraPower.

I did 3 UltraPower upgrades at the Winne GNR that had major GM changes added. One got a new operating system plus updates and the other two got updates only.

I recall there is a way to tell what revision level you have currently running.
Where would one find information regarding the update levels and what they have changed if their out of warranty other than paying the $100 for an update?

Is this posted on the Workhorse website? Or is it a Workhorse guarded trade secret?

Thanks Oemtech, Streameman, and DriVer for the info. Puts my mind at ease. DriVer, thanks again for doing the Upgrade @ the Branson rally. The differance is amazing even though the Banks Kit( ) had been installed by the original owner.

You can get the calibration codes at the GM site by entering your vin number. But, you must use Internet Explorer to retrieve the codes. Here is the link GM Calibration Codes

I am probably confused -- with the Ultrapower, I don't need the GM calibration codes?

Just made return trip from Branson rally checked mileage two fillups 8.3&8.6 couldn't ask for anything better where as last year to Tenn. rally got 6.1&6.9 going down before upgrade to Ultrapower.
Had the latest upgrade tune added at Branson my mileage has been in the 8's consistantly no tow.
Big thanks to the Mike's life is good in my pocket.

The ECM/PCM/VCM has 2 parts... an operating system (kinda like Windows) and the calibration tables. UltraPower changes the parameters within the calibration tables.

The calibration codes are really GM part numbers that tell us what version is installed. There are tables for the engine, engine diagnostics, fuel system, speedometer etc. GM changes various settings to fix problems reported by dealers or GM Engineering.

Question: I just had my computer reprogramed with the "Ultrapower" upgrade. Do they include GM upgrades as well or do I still have to go to the GM site for their changes? Thanks in advance, Jim
