The fuse box under the dash on our W22 coach was always getting stepped on by me everytime that I used the parking brake.

The solution for me, after turning the juice off, was to unbolt the fuse box and loop it over the steering column to the passenger side of the column and then use a circle clamp around the column and a small L bracket attached to the fuse box.

There seems to be just enough slack in the cablkes to do this.

Not only is it more secure and easier to get at but it won't get stepped on anymore.

Unbolting the seat and seatbelt gives you lots of room to work under the dash.

I have seen the fuse panel located in so many different places. Your solution should work well for you for the long term. One of the weirdest ones was screwed into the plywood firewall with sheetrock screws.

My panel is mounted in steel under my roll up dash pod. Really nice!
