Today we had hi Temp of 40 so I decided to go work on my park problem. I had turned on the heat over lunch and took a handful of tools and was ready to take the shroud under the steering wheel apart. A little voice said to try it first before tearing everything apart. Everything worked just fine. I tried it several times and had no problem getting it out of park. Took it out for a drive to exercise the Onan and the drive train. I backed it back in the garage and tried several times again. Everything works normal. HOW DO I FIX SOMETHING WHEN IT ISN"T BROKE? The temperature was below freezing when I had the problem but today it was above freezing. I don't know if I have a fair weather chassis or I experienced Divine intervention. We have lots of winter left yet so I will be testing it again when it is below freezing. I will continue to post as I move forward on this issue. Thanks to all of you who posted suggestions. I printed them out and started a file I will keep in the MH. This forum is priceless.
Thanks;
Don

I had a simular problem. After talking with WH for 45 min, then coach net gave up and sent a wrecker. The wrecker driver was un able to unlock me and gave up.
I then hooked up my CRV and pulled and pushed a couple of time and It came loose and has worked good since.
This was in the summer in Tampa FL.
I did have a service center check it out, but they found nothen wrong.

Welcome to irv2 and the Workhorse forum "midas"
I have found with foot on brake pedal lift shift handle up out of Park than into gear after starting engine and parking brake is still engaged.
When placing back into Park lift shift handle out of gear and move to Park with engine running and foot on brake.
INGAGE the Parking brake BEFORE moving into Park so coach does not move locking up transmission.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.
