With the addition of Ultra Power, the HP and
Torque increase exceeds the Allison Trans Specs.
Should I worry?

Welcome ret4fish to irv2.
This LINK should help you in your decisision on deciding if you want UP as many of us have. Have not had any problems with mine and great improvment in gas mileage.
Enjoy the forums and post often.

I had the Ultra Power Mod done on my 8.1L with a 4L80E transmission at 46,365 miles, I now have 72,289 miles on it with no problems. That's almost 26,000 miles with a trip to Alaska and 2 trips from Oregon to Kentucky. I do use Mobile 1 synthetic transmission fluid and engine oil.

FinHawk,
You probably live the closest to us yet you don't know?!

It is a power and mileage product that Brazel's RV Performance developed. We change computer coding inside your Engine Control Module (on board engine computer) to make your engine run more efficiently. We generally gain around 60 HP and 70 ft. lb. tq. at the rear wheels and most customers claim an increase in mileage anywhere from .5 all the way to 3 MPG! There is a lot more information on UltraPower if you do a search in the forums for it and you will be able to find out how other people with it like it.

Jeff,

When did you have the UP program installed?

Ed, after a reprogram the ECM will have to learn Jeffs driving habits as it did when he first bought his Workhorse chassis.
Everything will improve for the best.
