Video:Help what is this high RPM noise that I'm hearing

I need some help from my fellow Workhorse W24 owners does yours make this sound? Its a high pitched sound when I hit about 3800 RPM. Not that I'm in a habit of doing that but its always made this sound and I have been wondering if it considered normal? I believe it has something to do with the power steering. This is on a 2005 Winnebago Voyage 38J Workhorse W24 Chassis. Note at the end of the Video you can see how I use "TWO" ScanGauge II's so I have 8 different pieces of engine data I can view at the same time.
More of my troubles can be found hear.

He's busting your hump because you have one too many "0's" on your number You meant 3,800 rpm. By the way, mine makes a similar sound at those RPM"s

I think mine makes similar sounds as well. The power steering pump is noisier than other vehicles, not sure if thatís because it drives the power brakes, but there seems to be hydraulic whine always present at some level. Could also be the way things are mounted to the chassis since hard mounting will transmit pump internal noise better. I always chalked it up to nature of the beast.

Thanks vettenuts I'm starting feel better about it its looking like I'm not the only one with this sound. to me it feels like it may be coming from the ZF steering gear box because I can feel in the steering wheel its a direct connection I believe.

I was pushing harder than I normally would but I was doing on purpose in order to document the sound and yes I was driving through the hills of Ky at the time. Very little traffic that day.

Years ago I remember someone complaining about a power
steering hose that was route incorrectly, and setting up some
sort of vibration that could be felt/heard in the cab.
I may even remember the hose was isolated by wrapping
a piece of heater hose around the metal power steering hose.
That eliminated the metal to metal contact.

Course I could be wong.....coopcolt
