I bought a Vin-specific catalog from Workhorse ($ 165), and I find it useless. It's hardly any illustration in the catalog, that makes it impossible to use when I'm going to pick out the right parts for my chassis. It's also impossible to open more then 4-5 of the photo's in the catalog. I think I got a product that is not complete? The size of the pdf file is 4,03 Mb, but it is suppose to be 10 Mb.

Is there anyone else out there with same experience?

NB! I have complained about the product and they will refund my money.

Here is the Workhorse's description of the Vin-specific catalog:

Know exactly what part and quantity is needed when you perform maintenance on your Workhorse chassis.A valuable tool to keep with you is your own Workhorse Customized Parts Book in an electronic file format. This parts book displays the bill of materials for your particular chassis based on your VIN number – no need to know options, only those parts specific to your VIN will be shown in the illustrations.
VIN Specific Parts Files are now available for all Workhorse Chassis. This book contains:
  • Parts illustrations
  • Referenced call-outs
  • Workhorse part numbers
  • Effectivity dates
  • Foot notes
  • Quantity of parts needed
  • Description of parts
  • Kit information
Some VIN catalogs prior to 2001 are not available. We will contact you if this applies to your VIN.
The Electronic File is typically about 10 MB in size and will be e-mailed to you. Make sure your mail box can accept files of this size

Yes I got mine the other day. One big waste of money. Mine did contain over a thousand pages. Almost 1/3 are blank stating there is no illustration. Of the few illustration that did come through one contained a picture of the rubber brake peddle cover. I want my money back.

Sorry to hear that. I got my money back from the workhorse, it took 7-8 days. The item was paid for by credit card.

I also used a credit card. I have emailed them with a request for refund or I would put the purchase in dispute with the card company. How did you handle your refund request? If buy phone what number did you call and do you recall who you talked to? If by email who your contact was. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Dale

I sent them an e-mail and got a reply fairly quickly. See copy of mail from them and address. I hope it goes equally well with your request.

Use that money to buy the Workhorse W Service Manual and Schematics. I have used mine several times. There's over 10,000 pages and probably just as many illustrations. The files are pdf and it's easy to get to the page you're looking for. Well worth the $102.

You can buy it here: Manuals & Guides

I bought the GM Service Manual for a 1999 P32/42 Chassis Front Engine Motor Home and Commercial Vol 1 - 2 and 3 on Ebay. These contain everything you need to know about the P32 chassis. The price was $ 5 + $ 5 for shipping to Norway
