Does anyone know what color wire Wheelhorse/GM uses for the VSS signal to feed the speedometer at the speedometer?

TIA

Lee

Lee, from what I could find in the service manual, impulses from the VCM (gas engines) use CKT 389 which is a 0.5 DK Grn wire, pin number 14 on the instr cluster.

Hope this helps, Jack

Ahhh!!!!! That figures. GM seems to have standarized the colors through out all the lines. My 01 and 05 p/u had a green color wire for the VSS.
Thank You very much HuskyJack. I appreciate it.

HuskyJack, Could that color be Dk Green/w a White stripe? I have no idea which pin is what. I have two plugs in the back of the cluster each plug has it's own Dk grn/white stripe both a 0.5

Lee, my Workhorse manual calls out a Drk Grn wire, no stripe indicated..

Reading the Actia service manual it looks like pin 14 is in the bottom row of the larger connector, 6th pin from the left.

Looking at the back of the cluster with connectors disconnected:

19""""""""""26__ 27""""""""""""""36
. . . . . . . .____. . . . . . . . . .Pin top row

. . . . . . . .____. . . . . . . . . .Pin bottom row
1""""""""""""8____9"""""""14"""""18

Hope you can understand this...

Jack

OK,
Your description of the gang connector was right on but the color is off. The color is dk grn/white stripe. I now have a GPS that my navigator can program while the coach is in motion.
Thank you again, I appreciate your help. This is a project I have been wanting to do since we bought the coach and now on to the big things.
Thanks again,

Lee
