Make sure you can read the LCD that shows what gear you are in. Very common failure.

Has the Bosch brake recall been done on it?
2004 Monaco La Palma 36DBD, W22, 8.1, 7.1 MPG
2000 LEXUS RX300 FWD 22MPG 4020 LBS

Don't know where I'm going, spose I'll get there anyway.

I don't think Newmar offered a "Dutch Star" as a gasser in 2004. Their gasser lineup was Scottsdale, Kountry Star, and Mountain Aire.

The DS was a DP, and would NOT have been on a Workhorse chassis. https://newmar.imgix.net/wp-content/...tar-diesel.pdf

I have the W22 chassis for 16 yrs now and 109,000 miles later. If that is what you're considering, you've come to the right place for advice. I've seen some Mountain Aire's on Workhorse chassis. They are the top of the line features/quality comparable to the Winnebago Chieftain.
Good luck,

Solid chassis, but hopefully trac bars and at least a rear aftermarket anti-sway bar have already been installed by the previous owner. If not, you'll want them. Plan on $2k for that.
