How can I confirm what chassis I actually have on my new to me used 2005 Itasca 38J. The dealer has been unable to say and if there ever was any documentation with the coach it is today long gone and the Workhorse manual covers several models.

I am sorta kinda pretty sure it is the W-24 but information, even online, is vague.

Rockhouse;

You should be on a W24 and this is how you can tell.

If your VIN# is 5B4MP "A", you have a W24.

IF your VIN# is 5B4MP "6", you have a W22.

That's it!

Rockhouse,

If you give me the last 8 digits of your vin # I can either fax or email you a copy of all your chassis component specs if you're interested.

Mr. Brazel:

I have read some of your posts and I would like to congratulate you in being a very thoughtful human being. Not many people would take the time to offer the service you just did nor would they have gone out of their way to test the water pump and clutch assembly on a UFO type chassis and report the findings.

If I lived closer to your home base, I would be one of your best customers. Thanks again for being a great person and keep the posts coming.

Regards

Well thank you very much I really do appreciate the kind words. I try to look at this business not from the perspective of just taking money and viewing customers as merely come-and-go profit. Our business is very family oriented and we strive to make each customer feel more like a friend and not just "another customer". Thank you again and just as a reminder, if anyone ever has an issue with something chassis related we are more than welcome to advise and offer our thoughts on what you might be experiencing.
