Anybody know if the part numbers for W-22 rear axle seal listed on Oemys, website are valid. I have developed a small leak on the left side, and want to fix it before using the coach next month. Has anyone here purchased seals using either of these numbers. Also, am I correct in assuming that all W-22 rear hubs ar the same, regardless of wheel size, and axle weight rating? My coach is on a 2003 W-22 with 19.5 inch wheels, and has a 13500 pound axle rating. The nearest WH dealer is quite a long way from here, and doesn't carry much of a parts inventory. I just as soon get seals from Napa or some other parts store. I have no fear of using other than original equipment part, National/Federal Mogul, C/R etc. as long as it is the correct part as made by that manufacturer for my hub..

Thanks

DriVer, its leaking inside left rear, definitely gear lube. Axle flange is dry.

Dieselclacker, Nope! That's not good. You are going to have to go for a new seal. The last time I had new seals installed on my front rotors they both leaked because they were cross overs and obtained locally at the NAPA. They were CRs.

Yanked those and put on the Workhorse seals and I've been fine ever since, 2 years now. Don't ask ... the new seals were "W000xxxx" something from Uptime and I don't know what the difference is.

When they do the recall, have them change the opposite seal at that time.

Sorry I don't know the part number you need. Most of the time you can see the mfg. and number on the installed seal, (once removed) and Napa can cross reference it to National or other.
Make sure to check your differential vent. I have seen a restricted vent hose cause several seal failures on both axle hub and pinion seals.

Good luck
