I'm not sure how bad or wide spread the W22 problems are. I haven't experienced them.
I think if I was to look at a new WH I'd be looking at a W24 just for the increased CC.

rv10 there is a w21 the w20 only lists a wheelbase of 190 inchs and if the manufacture needs a wheelbase of 208 inchs as does the unit I am looking at, they use the 13500lb rear axle instead of the 14500lb which is the same axle combination as the w20 ,go to the workhorse web sight one of my concerns is the chassis being to light and a poor load capacity on an itasca 33v

It appears that WH has added the W21 and removed the 208 and 228 inch wheelbase options from the W20 chassis.
The W21 was not listed a year or so ago and must have been added fairly recently.
My 2004 Sightseer 35N is on a W20 chassis and has a 228 inch wheelbase. The 33L had a 208 inch wheelbase, so the W20s did have the options in the past.
As I understand it the Bosch brake recall was for units built in 2002 and maybe earlier. In any case my 2004 35N on a midyear 2003 W20 chassis had no recall issued.
The only other brake issue I am aware of was the addition of a grease fitting to the brake bell crank rod tube housing. That was in 2004 I think.
Any chassis you buy after 2004 should be fine as far as brakes go.

I am not aware of brake failures on 2005 to 2008 W20, W21 and W22 Series Motorhome Chassis. Following good preventative maintenance practices, all the systems on your motorhome chassis will return many trouble free miles.

We're on a 2004 W-22. Haven't had any problems that I have recognized. What are the symptoms? Has WH acknowledged these problems? How do I find out about the problems?

Is there some reason that after 2006 the brakes don't seem to have troubles? Was something changed? And what is the difference between the W-21 and the W-22 chassis, besides the 22.5 inch tires? Is the increase in load ability just the bigger tires?
