W22 air pump

We have a 2004 Workhorse W22 (Newmar Mountain Aire 37') gasser.

A couple months ago the air pump started chattering, making a lot of noise. I called tech support from our extended service policy, and they told me it only powered the air horn, and I could just unplug it until I could have someone look at it. The air horn is not working. A week after that, the service mgr in Tucumcari NM showed me the cap on the pump was loose, and all I needed to do is crimp around to stop the vibration. In the meantime, leave it disconnected.

We've been outside Battle Creek MI for a month, and I took the air pump off and had it crimped. When I took it out, there was still air pressure in the line. The cap is now snug, but the pump still makes a lot of noise -- I can still hear it over road noise, and the air horn still does not work.

The only time we ever sounded the air horn was a year ago when my 5-year-old grandson started pushing buttons on the dash while his folks and we were talking. I can't think when I even used the regular horn. I suppose I could just do without it, but I probably should get it fixed.

1) Anyone have the specs so I can shop for a new air pump?
2) Any suggestions on how to get the air horn functioning again?

Check the specs on the present air compressor. Google can find many 12v air compressors for air horns, from under $20 to over $150. You'll also have to find if your system builds up air in a tank and uses an air valve solenoid to release air to the horn reeds or just turns on the compressor and blows air unrestricted to the horns.

Unfortunately, the label on the air pump is washed out and illegible.
The fact that there was pressure in the line when I disconnected the line would indicate it's probably controlled by a solenoid. I'll have to find that (suggestions where I should look?)

I have a Hadley Bully System - NOT a Newmar OEM system. That said, there is no such thing as a Workhorse air pump.

My current setup no longer works and my solution is to buy an entirely new Hadley Bully System. What happens in time is "rust." Relay valve has been replaced 3 times and it's always the same thing, rust. The compressor finally gave up the ghost and the hi limit no longer turned off the compressor and it burned out. The storage tank (although unopened) I expect is rusted solid.

The reason why this happens is that we gas folks don't have dryers or spitter valves.

I do plan on buying a new Bully and replacing all the parts. I guarantee you that it'll work once I get that done.
