We have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage on a Workhorse W22 chassis (8.1L Gas).
After a day or two of driving it in the high heat, it developed a knocking/popping noise.
This noise did not occur until after some time on the road (15-30 minutes), but then got worse and worse, particularly as the air temperature rose.
We were travelling, but I thought it was in the drive train, and we called Workhorse and stopped for service at a Workhorse GMC Truck service center they recommended.
After troubleshooting, they determined that the noise was the "bushings" at the rear end of the front springs popping; they were going to replace the springs and put them on order.
The following morning, the service manager suggested that we probably didn't want to wait to have the springs shipped and installed, so he drove the RV with me until the noise occurred (about 30 minutes). Back at the shop, he confirmed the noise was from the spring and suggested spraying with lubricant. This reduced the noise considerably, so we thought that confirmed the diagnosis and allowed continuing our trip (after another good spraying). We drove all day with very little noise.
I would like to thank and commend Randy ODell at Westfall GMC in Kansas City MO for a great job.
Anyone else have this problem?
Any better way to solve it?
Thanks for your help.
Gordon

I have the same thing happening mostly on slow speeds and when moving over a raised driveway or small bump in road.
They have a spring kit that will go in space at rear of spring on passenger side.

Another thread that helped me w/ the same problem on our W-24 was under a search for "suspension noises"
Lubricating the thru-bolted, teflon blocks on the rear spring clips really quieted the front end down.
Thanks for that tip.

We are driving a 2008 Newmar Canyon Star 3644 workhorse chassis W22 and having the same problem. We have about 5 hundred miles left on our maiden voyage. Can we continue without repair or will that cause damage to the spring or mounting?

You can continue your trip just have kit installed when you can and lube now to cut down noise.
Welcome to irv2 Don.
When you have a chance come over to the Newmar forum and get your KARMA.

Raise the front end until the wheels are off of the ground. Then you can see the rub marks at each end of the spring. I smeared grease on these areas and now have no noise. Worth a try.
