Taking the 2003/Adventurer 35U/W22 out tomorrow for the first time this year. Last year was the first year we had the unit. Put 9,000 miles on it. Wanted to see what the original fuel filter collected over the first year/9,000 miles, which would also tell me if my tank was clean or dirty and how hard the fuel pump was working to push fuel thru the filter. Thought $10 for a new fuel filter was cheap insurance and I carry a spare so this morning I made the change. The old filter was cut open and I was pleased to see the canister and filter material in like new condition. So I have come to the conclusion that either the sock on the pickup tube is doing a very good job or my tank is very clean. Purolator $6.38 at Advance Auto.

Just think, if you had a 2004, the fuel filter is only $80 if you are lucky, and could be $100 if the dealer wants to sell it at list price. Count yourself very lucky. Boy, did WCC get owners on this one. There is no choice.

If you are handy with tools and have access to weld equipment you can make one to use the $6 version. Search this forum for the details.
