W22 Tail Light Fuses

Can anyone please tell me precisely which fuse in which fuse block is the tail running light fuse?

I noticed in my newly acquired 2005 Pace Arrow that the tail running lights are not lit when I turn on my headlights. Noticed this only after wiring and hooking up my toad and seeing that it, too, had no runnning lights.

This may even be a Fleetwood problem, and not a workhorse chassis issue, not sure. But I'm thinking I'll start to root-cause this by checking fuses.

I pulled each of the mini fuses in the fuse block under the dash by the driver's side and the problem persists. However, it would be good to know which fuse is for the tail lights. BTW, the brake lights, turn signals and emergency flashers all work ok.

Thanks for your help.

The fuse can be identified by the following name and is located on the inside panel: PK LPS and it's a 20A fuse.

There are 2 rectangular circuit breakers at the bottom of the panel. Look at the 2nd column of fuses from Left to Right, it's the 3rd row up from the bottom reading from L to R there is a 20A CTSY and then the 20A PK LPS.

Thanks, DriVer. Here's what I found. The 2nd col, 3rd row is a 20A fuse. It's ok. I checked all other fuses with a test light this time and found a 10A fuse in the 3th col, 6th row (from the bottom, Lto R). It was blown. I replaced it and, voila! I had running lights in the rear.

So. What's going on here? I believe, as you do, the proper fuse should be a 20A fuse. Think I should replace this fuse with a 20A, or just leave things be?

Thanks again for your help. Let me know what you think about the amperage.

First of all the drawings that Dale has generously provided are 180° out from what's on P 214 of the Owner's Manual W0009780. Since we have much better view of the panel let's use those drawings. The 10A fuse that you replaced is the correct one. I should have listed that one in my previous post. I read somehow that the tail lights were out. The 10A fuse is marked MKR LPS and that fuse handles the marker lamps (body builder) and the license plate lamp. it is rated for 10A and that should remain as is.

There is no need to consider changing the fuse from a 10A to a 20A. Good luck!

Hey DriVer. Everyone who has been on this forum knows how much you have contributed and helped us all. We really appreciate it.

I'll wait until I reconnect the toad and see if perhaps the two lamps in the toad are drawing too much current and blowing that 10A fuse.

Meanwhile, thanks very much. At least I'ved isolated the issue to the right circuit, thanks to you and Dale. Much appreciated.

I'll let you know how things turn out.

Kip

You do know there are two "Chassis" fuse blocks on the Workhorse right.

One is in one of the normal "Car" places, under the dash, where you can easily see it in the case of my Damon, near the parking brake pedal if you have one. The other is under the "hood" more or less in the center, top, no marking on the cover, black box.

Thank you for the pointer. The inside fuse panel is for use by the coach builder and the outside underhood panel is for the chassis builder. That's the difference. On my Vue I also have 2 fuse panels, inside and outside. The distinction there exist as well. The inside panel typically protects the inside stuff and the outside panel handles all the engine controls and bigger loads. Have a good one!

Had the same issue last season when I didn't disconnect the boat trailer harness before launching (not a problem when done with the pickup). Finally found the fuse under the hood was the culprit. Seems there's multiple listings throughout these things. So relieved it was just a fuse, all I could do was laugh at myself for throwing a fit before I found the right one.

kgarvey,

This happened to us and I had posted it in reply to someone else on a different forum:

On our 06 35E Workhorse we had lost our tail lights. At the time I did not
notice the running lights (side and top) being out. The underhood fuses for the tail lights were good, the fuse out was located on the inside fuse block next to the drivers seat and labeled īMKR LMPī. So you might want to check that fuse panel for a bad fuse. In our case a rock had hit one of the running lights allowing water in and causing the short.

Bob
