I found the left front wheel wet today. It smells like oil. The brake fluid checked ok.

Could a seal be leaking and oil getting on the tire? It is on the inside only.

Thank you

Ron

I had same issue last summer 3k miles after complete brake system re work by Apache Sands, a WH service center. Left front wheel(inside) started getting wet with bearing oil. Stopped at Brazels in Wa. and got it resealed. Took about an hour. Been ok since. Now right front seal has started leaking too. Hope I can make it back to Wa. before needing to get it replaced. I won't go back to Apache Sands for any thing. Brazels is the place for my work if I can hold off til our summer migration.

I find this interesting as I also had a problem with the left front seal leaking about 8 months ago.

I also ran ito a real "crappy" attitude at Apache Sands and was extremly pleased by the attitude and service at Brazels

on our W-22, the front left wheel started leaking and I found it was the fill plug, so I wrapped several turns of teflon tape around the plug and it held fine. Our back right wheel also started to leak. Had to take it to the shop and they replaced an inner wheel seal. Not a big job, they had it fixed in no time. s/Toby

Well I filled the wheel bearing up to the hole. I drove about 40 miles to the dealer. The oil level didn't change. Dealer could not fix it till 30th.

We are going to PA over Memorial day for 5 days so the dealer said to go and just watch the oil level. I cleaned all the oil off and will just watch it until I get it fixed.

Thanks for the replys.

Ron
