Hello,
I have a 2005 Georgie Boy Cruisemaster Luxura, w24 chassis. The unit is about 5 months old and obviously still under warranty.
Problem: I have an intermittent problem with the headlights... sometimes while driving the brights will come on and cannot be switched back to low beams, sometimes when I manual switch I cannot switch back, and sometimes all is well.
Question: would this be considered a chassis/Workhorse problem or the motorhome manufacturer? I'm not quite sure who is responsible for the headlights, wiring, headlight switch in the dash, steering column, etc. My motorhome dealer is not an authorized Workhorse servicer and sends that sort of work to a nearby Cummins Bridgeway LLC shop.
Thanks,
Ed

This includes the electrical components in the steering wheel, lights switch, dimmer, cruise, wiper etc.
What is most often found with intermittent problems such as you describe in 90% of the cases may be a bad or poor ground. The grounds are installed by the coach builder as are the head lamp assemblies, signal lamps, fog lamps and the wiring to the lamps from the harness that controls the lights. You didn't mention that you were blowing fuses so I'll reserve my comments about shorts or chaffing wires.
I would bring your motorhome to Cummins Bridgeway to have the problem evaluated and resolved. If there is some type of issue with the coach builder portion of the lighting circuit, I believe that will be addressed by Workhorse Service with the coach builder if they need to recover any costs.
Welcome to the Workhorse Chassis owner's Forum, the best interactive resource on the Internet for your Workhorse Chassis. We are pleased that you chose us to help you through this issue and I'm sure this problem will be resolved to your satisfaction.
Please come back to visit and please post often.

Thanks for the quick response, DriVer.
I'll have Cummins check the lighting problem.
Yes, a great forum. I "lurked and learned" here several years while preparing for my first RV purchase.
Thanks!

Update - turns out to be a wiring harness issue from the coach manufacturer, not a Workhorse issue. Harness is being replaced under warranty by the coach dealer.
