Compressor siezed, which destroyed compressor clutch and dried out the freewheeling bearing. Was lucky to get home. Do not want to go far with bad bearing to repair center. Do not feel a tow is necessary in order to repair AC. Was able to locate compressor from NAPA. Cannot cross-reference for the filter drier reciever or the orifice tube. Coach body is 2001 Tiffin Allegro. Can anyone please help?

T&W, I had absolutely no luck finding it either. I went thru all the 4 season books and everything else. I finally called Tiffin and they gave me the number to Acme Air which did the AC's for Tiffin. I found them on the internet and ordered my Drier. It was about the same cost as all the aftermarkets that would not fit. When it arrived, it was a perfect match.

Google Acme Air and give them your info.

TakerEasy, thanks for the come-back. Do you mean Acme Radiator and Air Conditioning of Kansas City? I will call them Monday. But my literature says WCC supplied the filter drier reciever. I'm not seeing any orifice tube or expansion valve in plain view. Is my mechanic going to have to open the evaporator box? The system obviously needs to be flushed.

Yes, Phone number is (913) 371-5373. My drier was a part number 4103063 18mm x 12mm with bracket.

Yes, Chevy/Workhorse supplies the Compressor, Drier, and Condensor and Acme Air used to supply everything else. I had no luck anywhere so I called Tiffin and they told me to call Acme. No problems. I think I bought mine online on their website.

They used both types, some had expansion valves which were mounted under the hood on the outside of the Evaporator box, then the orifice tubes were normally mounted in the lower line going to the evaporator. I surely haven't seen all the different configurations but those I mentioned where most common.

If you need an expansion valve, get it from Acme as well or you may never have any luck matching it up.
