Thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. I purchased a NAPA Gold 3481 (Made by Wix) fuel filter today for $14.29 + tx for my 2003 W20 with 16,000 miles. Carrying a new spare filter saved my six several times with my previous M/H (P30 chassis). The NAPA salesman said it is the Wix 33481 with a slight P/N change to suit the NAPA stock system.

Hey, if we could bottle all the hot air all us old guys blow on this great forum, we could put sails on these big boxes and not have to worry about gas at all.....

I purchased the replacement filter for my 2005 direct from a Chev. dealer. It appears that this same filter is used in light duty Chev. trucks with the 8.1 engine. The RV dealer I had gone to for the filter sent me to the Chev. dealer and said they purchase all of their replacement filters there.[/QUOTE]

What was the price from GM and what was the part #??

Well its been about month since I submitted my letter and have not received an answer. It obvious that WCC does not what to discuss this or has any plans to resolve any of the issues I have raised. So, unless there is an interest in seeing what I sent I will consider it a closed issue.

Dale,
You know better! The letter had to go to at least three different floors of attorneys to be read as to the proper say nothing response so as not to be held to anything. And since they are paid by the hour, don'tca think your rushing things a little bit???

Best,

The odds are that WH will not respond to a letter asking about fuel filters. Why should they? It's a lose/lose situation for them. It would seem like they have more important engineering questions to take care of (like brakes), instead of a fuel filter.

Bob,

You may be right... considering what lawyers get paid so we will let it set for another 30 days or so.

FrontRangeRVer,

My concerns are more that just about the "Fuel Filter". Its about parts, Service Centers or lack of and so on.

If you are concerned about the brake issue, as I am, just what have you done to try to solve the issue or put pressure on WCC or NHSTA to get a recall done. Me I plan to write my congress men/woman and just maybe they may make a phone call or two.
