I need a chassis battery for my 2004 Pace Arrow with the W-22. I can't find anything on the battery or in the owners manual. Anyone have an idea.
Thanks

I am not 100% on this but it seems it's a Group 73 or 78, yes, there it is a "Standard" size.
My advice sir: Take it with you when you go shopping.. If you want to maintain the engine and transmission computer, the radio and such, Jumper the house batteries over while you run it to the store with your towed. You can use a jumper wire at the BCC (Battery Control Center) or positive terminal to positive terminal (I'd do it at the BCC)

Or you can do it the way I did and exercise the RV at the same time. I drove our RV to the local Battery Shop (Franklin Battery & Auto Elec) and let them install the new battery. Since I have been using them for numerous years and have had good service from them I told them to install the best battery they had. I don't remember what the size was but it was an AGM for around $180.
They also ran a test on the alternator and gave us a refund on the core charge for the old battery.

Thanks everyone, will do the 78. Whats this about the Engine and Transmission computer? The battery has been out of the MH for two weeks. It blew up, blew one end out and the top up and cracked. I'm still neutralizing and cleaning up. I think the battery may have just shorted out, the house batteries are fine.

After that length of time, your PCM and TCM will have lost their learned memory. Not to worry though, there are default settings built in. You most likely won’t notice any difference.

It won't take long at all. You should not perceive that it is happening. Just turn the key and drive as you normally would.

Jon.. IF there is a person on this forum who knows the answer YOU are HE!
Original poster: Servicing Workhorse Chassis Motor homes (And others) is what Jon does for a living.. Man knows his business. Though I have not had a chance to do business with him, and likely won't till about 2015, (I plan on it) I have heard nothing but good about him in several years here.

I installed a Group 27 from walfart a couple of months ago - $75. Works perfectly.
