I have been tryin to get some Workhorse parts and I cain"t find a dealer.
My Local GM Truck is no longer a dealer and won't even try to get me parts for my GM 8.1
Workhorse web site gave me three location, when I called they are no longer Workhorse Dealers
My Voyage has went into limp mode 4 times. Thes last time was Sunday on the Indianapolis beltway
I think it is a MAP sensor according to my Aero Force gauge
I called the roadside assistance number and they gave me the same locations as I had just previously called that are no longer dealers

Ron55, The GM part # for that MAP sensor is 9359409 and the Retail price is $82.95

Any GM dealer should have this part or be able to get it overnight without any problems.

Best to you - Glenn

RON55 : the most current list I have shows two ASC in WV. They are both "Cummins Crosspoint, LLC.

the one in South Charleston is 304-744-6373

the one in Fairmont is 304-367-0196

Hope this is of some help. ED

Ron: if you mean the Mass Air Flow sensor, aka MAF, it is located immediately behind the air filter box inside the right front wheel well. It is fairly easy to remove, and you MAY be able to clean it. It won't hurt to try, but look for a loose connection at the harness plug first. Good luck, and please let us know how you resolve these issues. ED

The roadside assistance will call and setup an appointment for you so it shouldn't be a guessing game on your part.

Just tell them about the problem and ask them where you should go to have it fixed. they should be able to get you to a working authorized service center.

WCC is serious when they say that they want all their dealers to have their ducks in a row. It isn't easy getting to be a service center and equally it is easy to loose the dealership if the dealer doesn't follow procedure and policy.

I would task Roadside Assistance with getting you to the service that you need.

I called Workhorse for a close service center to install my fuel rail clip. They gave me this dealer and they're also listed on Workhorse's website.

Skinner Pontiac-Buick-GMC
505 Broad Street
New Bethlehem, PA 16242
(800)336-2313
Fax: (814)275-4010

When I called Skinner GMC they told me they can't get a large motorhome in to their shop because of the turn radius required. I told them they are listed as an authorized Workhorse service center. They told me they had no idea how they got listed as such!!!

I actually drove past and it would be next to impossible to get into their service area.

-Tom

Ed I called the Cummings in Charleston and Fairmont and they denied being a Workhorse Dealer, Cummings only! Six months ago I had a local Workhorse Dealer, but not now. (Matheny GMC) Parkersburg , WV
Thanks, Glenn i will go to my local chevy dealer tomorrow.

Ron55, You want to be sure it is the MAP and NOT the MAF as ED mentioned in his post. If it turns out you should need the MAF it is GM Part# 15904068, and it RETAILS for $226.25.

Most GM dealers that service large trucks will be able to give you a TECHII scan readout and assesment for under $100 dollars which might be worth it to confirm your own diagnosis.

Best of luck - Glenn.

Oh yea? Well they better start getting more svc cntrs , and give them lots of incentive to stock some parts too,
Or in my opinion, they won't be around for the long run.
Some of them stock zero, zilch nothing in WH parts.

Not too many service centers stock parts, Workhorse or otherwise. It would be just too much inventory to stock parts for every coach.

That's bull. I can get parts for Ford and Chevys at many dealers around here. And if they don't have it they usually can the same or next day. Certainly can get fuel filters.
And they don't have to stock parts for every coach, just the Chassis

As I have said before, WCC has a heck of a product but they are about to die on the vine if they don't fix the SVC and Parts problem. They have had over 5 years to Get-R-Done and failed. There are 2 near me... if you can 30 miles and 50+ miles close.

I still don't see any OEM use the R chassis on any standard offering. With the problems of service and parts on the W series I can't even image the hoops you have to jump through to a R series fix'd.

On the parts problem.... Just ask for a radiator overflow tank. The WCC Service Center didn't have one and the GM dealer didn't either. Got one from the local auto parts store the next day for $20. I didn't even ask WCC as I knew that it would be days and cost my first born. The GM shop didn't even off to order... but did say it was $40 or so.

All of this didn't give me a warm fuzzy about GM/WCC parts.
