I have a Cen-Tech OBDII Mod#94217 from Harbor Freight. Unit is made by Autel for them.

Unit came with a serial cable for computer updating. Need to conn. to USB as all my computer only have USB conn.

Also have Scan Guage II on MH.

You can get a Serial to USB adapter at Radio Shack or most an other electronics store.

Prolific Technologies is good one.

Got one works great! It needs a driver which comes with the cable.

That said not all computers especially the newer computer like to deal with serial devices. My older Thinkpad a T40p accepted the cable whereas my newer DV6000 series HP wide screen notebook can't handle it.
