As I usually do, I look at all the various websites that contain all those new and beautiful motor homes. When looking at a particular rig, the details may indicate that it's a Workhorse with a 8.1 engine. Well, that don't help! I can usually identify a MH that's on a W-20 or W-22 chassis, but it is more difficult to pick out the W-24's. For example, the Tiffin Allegro's are W-22's or W-20's (unless they are Ford), but are the Allegro Bay's all W-24's?

So, what models of the various manufacturers are built on the W-24? Thanks.

Bob

Bob, Most gas chassis that are available on Workhorse Chassis from 37 feet and up most likely can optioned on a W-24 while others come standard on W24s. Look for the GVW rating to be 24,000 pounds.

If the 6th digit in the VIN is an "A" the chassis is a W24 or W25.5.

I do not know about the new rigs but my 2007 Winnebago Voyage 35L has the W24 Chassis. It was offered as a option for an additional $9000. In my opinion this is a well worthwhile option, the chassis is awesome. As a general rule I would always opt for the heavy duty chassis, everything is stronger.
Have fun looking, good luck!
