With the new UFO series chassis coming out, what will happen to the W series chassis? Will it be discontinued, or will it still be offered as well as the UFO. This question is mainley addressed to DriVer, but if any one has the answer jump on in. Thanks Dave

You should expect the W-series(front engined) chassis to be around for many more years to come. The W is offered in GVWR from 16,000 to 25,500. The UFO is currently only available as a 26,000 GVWR and is $4-6K more expensive than a W-24 (and probably worth it, too).

Coach builders will continue to need the various W-series chassis in order to offer price points below the UFO based coaches. My 2 cents, ED

I think that you will start seeing many more TH's coming to market. The W24 or higher is better for this configuration but who knows what the future will hold.

A number of manufactures are proceeding along these lines and Fleetwood has delivered the X series of high occupancy motorhomes with vinyl floors for those especially sloppy weekends and lots of entertainment components.

What can be better for a young family than lots of fast personal vehicles, tons of mud and party central immediately under the awning!

How very true. I've always been surprised to see the number of folks that own a TH just to have the open space in the back -- young and old. I haul motorcycles in mine but I've seen just about everything: den/study, dog grooming station, pet area (birds, dogs, cats, etc....), woodworking station, RC airplane storage/work area, etc... Some people are very innovative with what they do with the garage.

I'm with Ed on this. The W-series chassis is as able as a gorilla in a bar fight ensuring a long and productive life-span.

I see the UFO chassis for those who want the big 38'+ MH's. The W Chassis for those of us who want to stay 30' to 35'.

208 inch rails are typically seen on 33 foot motorhomes. I've seen small RDPs man do they look funny or what - but folks buy them. Take that same short RDP owner and get him in the seat of a UFO and you definitely have a rear gas convert.

Sounds good to me. I am in favor of shorter not longer MH's. Next thing is over all heaight. MY garage door opening is only 12'2". Not much room to make it higher. So my list of MH's is limited.
