Have seen past posts recommending slight variations on factory specs. for improved handling. Was it a few degrees change in the caster angle? Any advice would be helpful.

Have a 2005 Southwind 32V on a Workhorse chasis.

I had our MH aligned, added track bars, etc., but the cure for a wandering problem came after I had the caster changed to 5 degrees. I think the original setting was approx. 1.5 or 2 degrees.

DriVer's post in link above says caster is not adjustable. How did you adjust to 5 degrees? I have seen this before and assumed that the caster was adjustable. Is DriVer not correct? I had read that adjusting to 5 degrees was the answer. Now confused.

Thanks Keith, that makes sence. Do you recommend 5 degrees caster too? Also, not to put you on the spot but which is better; Steer Safe or Safe-T-Plus as a steering stabilizer? Thanks for the input.

comp-time, unless WH has changed the caster in the last year, your W24 caster will be at 3 degrees same as mine was. Shim it to apx 5 degrees before adding anything else. It might be the best $90 bucks you can spend on that chassis. It was for me. WH OK'ed my change.

A front end alignment on a good machine with a before and after computer printout will demonstrate this to you and your butt dyno will tell you the rest.

Ditto for me. Had caster changed from 2 to 5 degrees at Forest City in May '06. Needed much, much less steering input after that!

Thanks guys, I will get an alignment and have shimmed to 5 degrees after I have gotten my four corner weights to make sure I am OK there. Appreciate all the input.

I have a W22. Does the same apply to my rig?
