Any recommendation for shop to do a wheel alignment in Calgary? I much prefer a recommendation from IRV2 members than the yellow pages.
I recently installed a rear Track-bar and that settled things down, but the unit seems now to be pulling to the left. Perhaps it wasn't noticable before because of all the 'driving' I was having to do.
Thanks in Advance;
Dave

Standen's, 1222-58th Street SE, 403-258-7800 call the service manager Brad Shier for advice and appointment.
My experience with Standen's has been excellent.

I baleive I would check for something else wrong because a straight axle can't have a caster problem unless it's bent. You can increase the caster to make it track better but one side has to have more caster than the other to make it pull.

I would suggest to get rear axle thrust alignment checked. This was the final solution to my constant driving corrections.

Can you tell what they did to correct your problem.
They moved or changed what part of your front end to do what?

Ken, the rear axle was not parallel to the front axle by some small amount called out in the Workhorse alignment specs. Checked by laser wheel alignment equipment during front end alignment.
The rear leaf spring to axle U bolt plate has a hole that was enlarged to allow the plate and U bolts and axle to be moved forward or back as needed to correct parallelism to front axle. The bolt that keeps the leaves together is located by that hole.
Front alignment was also modified to increase the caster angle by adding tapered shims.
Finally the Safe T plus steering re centering was added.
I now enjoy a good handling coach.
Had all this done at Brazels RV last year.
Marty

The toe in/out adjustment is critical too.
My coach had a dog tracking problem with the rear going to the left. More on roads with a bigger crown. The thrust angle was ok as checked by two alignment shops.
Finally I paid for my own 4 wheel alignment and they found the front was toed out -0.08" and spec is 0.04" to 0.08". Drives like a dream now & nice-n-straight too. I have the Safe-T-Steer and that keeps her running straight too.
