I have a slight vibration problem on my 2004 Safari Trek W20. After reading about automatic wheel balancers I decided to give some a try and ordered them from Suntech (Balance Masters). When they arrived I tried to install them and discovered that though they would fit on the hub, the flat part that is sandwiched between hub and wheel is too large to seat properly in the wheel. The wheel is thus held away from the hub unless you just smash them with the lug nuts. They have no other size that will work.

So I called Centramatic, the had some they claimed would work, however I made them measure the critical dimension, and theirs have the same problem.

The wheels are the stock steel wheels, labeled "Maxion" and "Made in Brazil". They are 19.5 inch.

Has anyone actually gotten these to work? If so, did you put them on, or observe their installation? I suspect some have been put on and smashed into place, but it wouldn't be a really proper installation.
