Hi

Any idea where the wheel brace is kept on a Damon Daybreak 3270 2001! is it kept with the spare wheel under the rear of the RV! we have the device for undoing the caps on the hubs but dont seam to have the wheel brace for undoing the wheel nuts! found out that our tyres have been on the RV since new! its now done 38000 miles of which about 6000 miles have been done here in England

You'll have to come up with your own 6 ton hydraulic jack and a cross type lug nut wrench. Good luck!!

Just a little more detail dazza40; They do not include a jack or a lug nut wrench with most Class A's. Since it requires an impact wrench to remove the lug nuts, and most people hire someone to change the tires, there is no need to include a jack and wrench.

Many times I have removed a car tire, thrown it in the back of another car and taken it to a shop to have it fixed. I have no interest in doing so with the motorhome. Either I drive it to the shop, or they bring a truck to the motorhome.

http://www.alltiresupply.com/p-TRM7.html This is what I keep for use when I don't want to wait on road service. One end fits the wheel simulator and the other fits the lug nuts. I welded a 3' pipe to the breaker bar.

Re: Driving it to the shop.. generally a bad idea, IF, and I stress IF you are not moving and notice a flat (IE: during pre-drive checkout when leaving a camp site) the odds the partnered tire (Duals) has been damaged are lowest. (Of course if you pop a casing at freeway speed forget it, just replace 'em both)

Now. for the record.. In my basement is 1 12 ton jack-jack and a pair of Air operated impact wrenches, 3/8 and 1/2 I think w/o looking (May be larger) in the towed is 250 PSI air compressor (normally)

You wonder what a jack-jack is.. Well you know what a Jack Hammer is right,

A Jack Jack has a jack-hammer like device on it that pumps the jack

so it's one of the two "Air over hydraulic" type jacks

Very handy for picking up the rig, it's a 12 ton, Harbor Freight of course
