If you have Dicor simulators go to their on line store. dicor.com

Try an RV dealer, Or Camping world You will likely have to ask at the counter, it's not likely to be a shelf item but I got a pair at my local RV store no problem.

Oh, there was one problem.. The ones they had that said "DAMON" did not fit

The ones that said Winnabago did

It's a damon

RJW: Part of the problem is that WCC does not supply the wheel covers, only the wheels are mounted when shipped. Each coach builder is free to choose a simulator-cover from any one of several suppliers. Each supplier may offer multiple choices and styles of covers, so your search to find a matching replacement is problematic at best. I wish you good luck. ED

I had to make an adjustment on my wheel cover today. I used a 1 and 5/8" socket to remove the 3 jam nuts under the acorn caps.

A specific made T-Handle tool works best since the space between a conventional socket and the hub is rather tight. I have since rounded off the points on my original tool (side wall too thin) and I'm looking for a more sturdy replacement.

DriVer, why would you remove the "acorn Cap" from the jam nuts? The entire assembly can easly be removed as a unit.

Note: You can tell which are the two nuts to remove by looking closely at the sides of the acon caps. The two which thread on have crimped areas to hold the cap onto the jam nut.

Driver,
I renewed my T handle tool by inserting a acorn cap and nut in the socket and clamping the socket in a vise on two of the flats and hammering the other flats to recreate the corners of the socket.

Joe G,
NRV seems to use the Dicor simulators. The acorn cap/nut is available at www.dicor.com. for under $10 + shpg

These caps are attached as a unit to the nuts.

The Dicor simulators I have use only 2 attaching acorn nuts.
Perhaps other MFRs use other simulators with more than 2 attaching nuts.

I have wheel covers that have 8 acorn type nuts. 5 are fixed chrome metal acorn nuts on the center hubs. "3" of these acorn nuts are physically larger and they have 2 - 1/4" dimples on each side of the acorn cover located at the base. Pulling the acorn cover my hand exposes a 1 and 5/8" jam nut that secures the liner and hub in 3 places.

Remove the 3 jam nuts and the entire wheel liner assembly (2 pieces) falls off the steel wheel.

That's my story and I'm sticking 2 it.

Hello from Ft. Chiswell GS Park in Wytheville, VA.

I guess whatever floats your boat however, I have the same wheel covers. You need not pull off the Acorn covering. I use a socket 1/8" larger than fits the other simulated nuts and remove the acorn/jam nuts as a unit.

And that's my story and I'm also sticking to it.

I wasn't seeing how you were working your fasteners however you seem to have it all going on.

I agree with Joe. One of my cover nuts was on so tight I couldn't remove it with the "T" wrench tool (twisted the "T" handle ), so I bought a 3/4" drive, 1-1/2" socket with torque bar to remove nut w/ acorn cap. Dont leave home without it.
