Hi

I have a 2000 fleetwood with a 454. Couldn't find
the pet-cock to drain the antifreeze. I may just pull
the lower hose. It drains better but messy.

Anything I should look out for? Particular procedures flushing
Dex-cool? I'm assuming that is what is in it.

What's the best replacement antifreeze for Dex-Cool?

Thanks

Take a look at post #25 in this thread:
How do I remove my Workhorse Radiator Cap?

I don't KNOW if this applies to your P32 or not.

What I do, and it is less messy than pulling the lower hose, is to drop a 3/8 tube to the bottom of the radiator and syphon the fluid level down.

Others may tell you different but I doubt there is a good reason to "flush" your system. What I did last year (RV was three years old) was to drain the radiator as described and refill with new (50/50) Dex-cool. I replaced my thermostat two days ago and the engine & radiator hose is spotless. I do not see any reason to flush and replace the Dex-cool with a different brand. Dex-cool is a good product as long as it is not contaminated.

Good luck,

JoeG

With the modern systems with and expansion tank, there often is no way to either take the cap off the radiator or drain it.

Strictly speaking "pet-cock" is a British term for a tap to turn on/off the flow of fuel(petrol) from a gravity feed tank like a motor-cycle. The thing on older radiators is a drain tap, unless you've got a real problem with gasoline in the coolant.

Really? I have a different definition in the difference between a drain cock and a pet cock, but I had better not post it here.
