My 2007 WH W24 has the Allison 6 speed. While only 3500 miles, it is about 4 years old and the filter should be changed. The WH info gives me a transmission S/N, but at the Allison website it says "No information available", so I don't know if WH changed the S/N, its a typo, or what?

Any ideas on how I can identify the Allison model number so I can get the correct filter?

Went to the Allison website, entered m y transmission s/n and got the same error.

When you bought the MH in your binder should have been info on the transmission.

Another option is to call an Allision dealer and give them your s/n. Called mine and did that and they were able to provide me the info on the transmission.

There is only one spin on external filter used on the Allisons that are built into the W-series chassis. It is part # 29539579 and should cost less than 10 bucks at an Allison distributor. A Chevy or GMC dealer will likely also stock it under the same part #, but in an AC Delco box at a higher price. Don't forget to clean and re-use the magnet! Ed

If you are using the number on the workhorse website call Allison and they will tell you to only use certain part of the numbers and I can not remember which part you delete. Good Luck JP

You should have an Allison 2100MH 6-Speed Transmission. if you can give me the last 8 digits of your VIN# in PM I can get you a transmission serial number.

Like ED said, All 1000 and 2000 series transmissions use the same external spin-on filter. You can even get a NAPA Gold unit if you want to.

There is a plate mounted to the side of your transmission. You will have to crawl under the MH to see it. Mine is upside down and I have to use a mirror to read it.
