I currently have a 2001 Winnebago Adventurer on a W20. I'm happy with both Winnebago and Workhorse, but am considering a newer Winnebago on either a W22 or, preferably, a W24 chassis. My question involves which model Allisons were used on the older Workhorse chassis.
Specifically, which Allisons were used on '05 and '06 W22 and W24 chassis, and did the include the "grade braking" feature?
Thanks,

My 2005 W24 chassis had the Allison 6 speed with the grade brake.

The older model 2005 and less chassis used the Allison LCT1000 5 Speed transmission. The W24 used a 2000 Series transmission 5 Speed transmission.

In 2006 came the introduction of the 6 -Speed transmissions. The LCT1000 series became the 1000MH and the 2000 Series transmission also went to 6 Speeds with the Generation IV TCM.
The Workhorse Transmission Grade Brake (TGB) became standard equipment in model year 2005 through the present time in gasoline powered vehicles with Allison Transmissions.
