Ok, we already know that there are "UFO" offerings from Winnebago, Itasca, Georgetown, Holiday Rambler, Monaco, and the newest player is the Cruise Master by Georgie Boy Manufacturing a division of Coachman Industries. If you were market to buy a class A on the Workhorse "UFO" chassis, which one would you choose and why? For a while I was interested in the Monaco LaPalma 38PLT, untill I saw where they are using the 242" wheel base chassis on a 38'10" class A. I don't find the exterior styling of the Destination & Latitude appealing, although their interiors look absolutely gorgeous. The 39'1" Georgetown has a nice livable floor plan and the 262" wheel base, but the exterior and interior are like any other Georgetown model. That leaves the Georgie Boy "Cruise Master" and from the exterior photo, it looks real nice and at almost 40' long, it has to be built on the 262" wb. Therefore, at the present moment, my vote goes to the Cruise Master. We're going to have to cruise down to Elkhart (200 miles away) and see this new "UFO" and give it a close inspection. I only wish Tiffin would come out with a 38-39' "UFO". Chuck/Bagman57

I had a CA-II by GB for 8yrs that stood up to the wear of dozen's of children it had the Ford 460 that gave us trouble.
The new UFO should be a great addition to what was for us a goood coach.
As with anything new like a chassis there maybe some bugs but we have dealt with that haven't we.

W're at the Redmond Rally where we will be looking at Lots of motorhomes today. I'll try to post info here on the UFO offerings. I see they have one available to drive, don't know the manufacturer.

Personally I would not but anything made by Monaco. Traveling for 3 years fulltime, I have run across too many unhappy Monaco owners. This includes the High end Beavers and such. I would probably look closely at the Winnebago products.

Which one are you going to buy, Bagman?
You've been one of the UFO's biggest fans. So why have'nt you bought one?
We should have a party for the first IRV member who buys a UFO

You will come way with the same expereince that so many hundreds of drivers that preceeded you have expereinced; the next "leap" in motorhome technology. Nothing else even come close in the 26,000 GVW weight range.

I got up on the UFO chassis yesterday and looked down at the drve train. Very impressive. There was someone there who had just driven the UFO, and he said it drove and handeled quite well. Aparently you can hardly hear the engine. I looked at the Winnabago Destination, but was not impressed. It's the only one available for view. I think I will wait for a drive, I think if I drove it I would want it. When other manufacturers build on it I will give it a try.
I put in a good word for you Driver, I forget the ladies name but she knew you well.

The W25.5 comes close, very close at 25,500 GVWR.

And add the extra 25 gallons of gas that the UFO carries and the gap narrows even more.

There is "nothing" like the UFO. Scrolling through the technology and innovations that the UFO brings to the RV market, the GVW is only but a small part of what an owner receives as a benefit from owning the first of its kind.

There is really nothing to compare it to, it's unique in the industry.
