My Allison dealer is in Tucson (170) mile rd. trip for me. Is there some other place, like maybe some other parts house, or on the web that I can buy Transynd atf. Thanx in advance, Jim C.

If you've got a local truck repair shop try them - here in San Jose, Ca I can go to any local International, Freightliner, etc. dealer and get Transynd in their parts shop...they even sell it in pint and quart bottles.

That's The problem---There is no local truck shop! I live in Sierra Vista, AZ. which is about 70 miles from WWWilliams. There is NO truck repair facility here. That's why I'm trying to find something on line or a parts store that may have heard of it. Thanx, Jim C.

I've heard that Transynd is made for allison by castrol. That was per Gary, the allison expert that gives the allison seminars at the monaco rallies. I've never looked on the castrol synthetic atf bottles down at the auto parts store, but you might take a look.Check for that allison spec # .It's probably the same stuff.

Castrol does indeed make TranSynd. They were the first to meet the TES-295 spec. Allison has now approved several more brands that meet the TES-295 performance spec.

Not sure these will help, but see them here: TES 295 Approved Fluids: Fluids: Service: Allison Transmission

I don't know, but a NAPA might be able to order it for you.

Why not call the Tucson dealer and ask them what to do? They might be able to send you what you need via UPS, pony express, something.

try your AMSOIL dealer. if your transmission is out of warranty by allison, check amsoil's guarantee. get the tes295 stuff. it is working well in my moho.

Jim, one of our members, oemtech, has a web site where he sells Workhorse filters, spark plugs, wires, etc. He also sells TES 295 compliant ATF in quarts even smaller sizes. If you don't have anyplace to get it locally, he can ship it to you. Check out oemy's website. Click "Product Catalog" and scroll down.

Although the web site lists the ATF as TranSynd, the bottle shown is Fleetrite, which is International Truck's synthetic fluid. I believe TranSynd is a trade name of Castrol. Fleetrite does meet TES 295 though, same as TranSynd, and is approved by Allison.

Jim, try Truck & Trailer Parts INC they are on the east end of town on your main drag. They may have it. I used them for some repair work a few years ago. Great folks.
