I guess I don't understand why you changed your cold air intake. Is there something wrong with the oem other than the fact that it is difficult to access?

For me... less weigh, more efficient, reusable filter and no water ingestion.

Now if you want to build your own then you may check out my DIY version. If you total up the parts you may find that the DIY version isn't a whole lot cheaper. In my 3 versions I know that I have spent almost as much as the Brazel's version.

I followed your CAI ideas as well as other informative suggestions on your website but missed the part on WHY you changed the CAI.

I did my D.I.Y. CAI, after I got caught in a day of Rain, from Ohio into PA and My air filter got soaked and shut down my engine on the PA Turnpike. I have not had a problem since.
