Winnebago R-26 hcv/ecv control valve programing?

Thanks in advance for input on this often posted topic. I'm stuck in Santa-fe with my new HCU/Ecu installed and unable to get the computer programed. It's been in the shop for 7 weeks and I'm losing my mind. I've read all the posts and am confident all the part numbers are correct. Is there a procedure that should be followed that is recommended? Should it be programmed on the tool box or workhorse app? Any direction on this frustrating topic?🤔

What is a HCU/Ecu? Curious about this problem, never heard of it before.

If it's new shouldn't the shop that installed it be able to remedy the situation?

Arch,
The part is the hydraulic control unit/ electronic control unit. It is on the chassis and controls the abs brakes, the auto park, and the electronics on the dash. Made by Meritor wabco.

What exactly is the issue? They can't communicate with the ECU period?

Arch: the R-26 is the model # of the chassis aka UFO.

Ultra rv, I am watching the techs and have limited knowledge. It seems the download starts and then kicks it out. They have changed computers and data lines and port? I will try and get more specific when work resumes on Tuesday.

I keep a copy of the Meritor manual in my coach and went out to read up on your questions.

First, the Meritor Toolbox software is the software used to work on the Meritor system. The Workhorse Cadet software is something different. I don't believe the Workhorse systems communicate with the Meritor ECU other than having contact information sent for the Actia dash panel alarms. May be wrong on that but that is my recollection

Second, the manual for the Meritor HPB system can be found on line and the number is (Maintenance Manual MM-0401) Meritor Wabco Hydraulic Power Brake (HPB) System, which was revised 07-15 based on what I have. There could be further revisions.

Next, the original ECU would have your VIN specific information available for download to computer if I read the Meritor manual right. When I had codes pulled by Lazy Days, they provided a printout of inactive codes and it had my vehicle VIN on the printout. The connection was made via Toolbox connecting to my plug under the dash.

However, it sounds like it is too late to extract that file I would guess. Maybe Meritor could do but good luck with that. Either Meritor or Workhorse should be able to provide the parameters which go with your VIN for inputting to the new ECU based on the Meritor manual.

Hope all this gives you some hope and I feel that if you are in Hal Burns Trucking shop, Bill and David will get things sorted out.

Regards

If the issue is the ECU not accepting the calibrations they are trying to send have them email me the file they are trying to use. I've found a corrupt data line before that wouldn't allow the calibrations to send to the ECU. Support@ultrarvproducts.com
