Saw this item last night on RV.Net and thought it might be of value to all of us WorkHorse chassis owners, one way or the other. It states that a company , namely Akebono has bought out Bosch.

"This could be good news for everyone who is waiting for the WH brake caliper recall. Akebono is known as a world class brake manufacture. Not only do they make OEM brake parts but they are big into the aftermarket and high performance industry. In the OEM industry they are suppliers for GM, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Dodge, Ford, and Subaru. In the aftermarket industry they make high performance brakes for cars, motorcycles and mountain bikes. They are big in F1 racing.
But it also could totally end the recall depending on if Akebono took over the liabilities of Bosch. It could also bankrupt WorkHorse if they have to pay for all the upgrades if Akebono doesn't take the liabilities too.

travel, We are aware of this transaction and we believe that we do not have anything to worry about at this moment in regard to the Workhorse Brake Recall. I would say that this is no News.

In their press release (Bosch) they stated that Robert Bosch LLC did not sell the Commercial Brake Division to Akebono. It is expected that nothing will change in regard to the relationship between Workhorse and Robert Bosch LLC.

Steamerman posted:

Bosch Group sells brake manufacturing business - Detroit News and Information - Crain's Detroit Business

So now this article does say: Bosch’s anti-lock brake, electronic brake systems, brake actuation and commercial-truck brake assets were excluded from the purchase.

As far as I know our chassis are COMMERCIAL TRUCKS, with COMMERCIAL TRUCK BRAKES. Therfore our brakes are still handled by BOSCH.
