HANK: That vin # is a 2002 W-20 (20,700 GVWR) chassis sold to Fleetwood-Riverside, CA. Both brake recalls were completed. The Bosch caliper recall was done in Feb 2011 @ 27,062 mi. You should not need to replace the calipers "again", but anything is possible, I guess.

According to the WCC warranty database, that vin # is a 2002 W-20 chassis. It had both of the brake recalls completed, the first in April 2007 at 21477 miles and the Bosch caliper recall was completed in Sept, 2010 at 34,713 miles. There are no open recalls. Safe travels, Ed

Ed, you indicated that all recalls were completed for my coach in a previous thread. I was wondering if you could tell me the mileage and dates that the work was performed? 5B4MP67G923352052 2003 Pace Arrow 35G. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the first brake recall, 50401-C was to replace the style of slider pins used on the earliest W series chassis. The OE pins were "zops" and the replacements were ZOT-H style. The warranty records show yours were replaced 11/5/2004 at 8989 miles
The recall to replace all four Bosch calipers, namely 51101-C, was done 01/25/2012, and the records show the mileage to be 128,442 at that time. That mileage seems very high, but that is what is in the records. If it isn't correct, please don't shoot the messenger-just send me an email to:edgray1@gmail.com and I'll reply with the record for you to see.

WELCOME to iRV2.com and the Workhorse forum.
That chassis was sold to Gulfstream, and has 3 recalls issued. The cats were replaced 3/28/05 at 7,212 miles. The Bosch calipers were replaced 8/23/11 at 10,947 miles. The remaining recall, namely 50402-C, involves the Actia Dashboard "cluster", and it remains OPEN = NOT DONE.
Without further research, I can't be sure that recall isn't just to re-flash the cluster to correct a software issue, or not. If you are not having any issues with your dash cluster, it likely isn't worth the trouble to have it completed.
You may find more info about the recalls, here: Home - Workhorse Chassis Motorhome Club

Like you I thought the recall took care of the seizing issue. Well, it did ....kinda. you still need to flush and replace the brake fluid every 2 years (im doing it every spring), and at that time lube caliper slider pins, then clean the rust off the caliper bracket/backing plate.
This stuff is important since a failure will run into the thousands in labor and parts real quick, not to mention the
Trip interuptus.....

I bought a 2005 Safari Trek about a month ago. I went through all the previous owner's records and found two notices for recalls on the W22 chassis. However I could not find confirmation the work was ever done. Here is the VIN # 5B4MP67G753407053. I'd appreciate any information. Thank you, Bob

That vin # is a 2005 W-20 (20,700 lb. GVWR) with two recalls, both completed, no other recalls.
The clip recall was completed 01/09 @ 11533 miles and the Bosch Brake recall was done 12/2012 @ 39853 miles. There "should be" a yellow sticker on a component under the hood showing the Bosch recall 51101-C was completed.
If you want the build sheet, send an email to: edgray1@gmail.com with your screen name in the subject line, so I can attach it to a reply.

I just wanted to share something I experienced with my WH chassis brake system. When I bought it several years ago, it had 17000 miles on it and the calibers were replaced with the recall some time ago.. The problem was, the bad calibers heated up the rotors so bad they had heat cracks all over. I just wanted everyone remember to look at the rotors. THEY were not part of the recall.

Edgray, a while back you sent me the build sheet on my used motorhome, thank you. Should I be able to see if the recalls have been completed on the info you sent? I am not finding it.
Thanks for being so helpful to so many.
