Just finished up call from a customer that had a brake seize on him
Saturday and he is just now getting brake parts.
He called Workhorse per the
Interim Glove Box Insert..... Best answer he got was here is a number to call on
Monday. Monday morning he starts calling around to find a replacement brake caliper and found nothing, na da, zip. The closest Workhorse Service Center had no parts nor did any of the large truck centers. He calls Workhorse and spent 30+ mins getting either being put on hold or getting voice mail before he actually talks to a
HUMAN. The customer service rep was no help what so ever and was told Workhorse no parts to sent to him.
That's when I get the call earlier today while I am a Wal Mart shopping. He has little or no internet service, other than his daughter Blackberry, to check the web site for part numbers. I get him to call Mark at BW Brakes on Kansas City in hopes that he can fix him up.
I called the customer late this evening to see if he was able to get a replacement caliper. He told me that Mark set him up with 2 calipers with over night shipping. But, the kicker is, $300 shipping. Due to the fact that he didn't have internet access I verified, via the UPS site, that the 2 calipers were on their way.
Lastly, I doubt that Workhorse will pay for anything as the repair is being done by a non-Workhorse Service Center. Lucky for the customer he has an extended warranty that will cover most of what has to be done. Now all he has to do it get the approvals. I told him to take lots of photo's and save all the parts.
The bottom line here is... Very poor Customer Service on Workhorse.
