Workhorse C/C and grade brake loss

I lost the C/C and the grade brake on my 2005 Pace arrow. Replaced the starter and next thing you they were not working. I checked and all of the fuses that I could find were good or replaced. I did find two small wires that were hanging loose in the shroud around the tilt portion of the steering wheel. I moved them and there are no open connectors in their reach. Got any suggestions of where to check next?

Check your parking brake lever (switch) and the brake pedal stop light switch. A fault in either of these switches will cause the cruise control not to engage. Are the brake lights on while you're just sitting there?

A short in the brake light bulb sockets will not allow the CC to set.

Do you have ABS and is it also in failure mode: Brake light switch is involved in all of those systems. Do a walk around and see if your brake lights are working normally.

Oh, the brake light BULBS are involved too.

Check the brake switch down above your pedal, both of those systems require the correct signal from that switch. Easy way to check is with key off and brake applied does the brake motor run?
